MQTT Subscribe topic only sends data to requestor

I have MQTT subscribe and publish working. Is there any way to filter who receives sms data via mqtt subscribe based on who requested it via mqtt publish?
Example:

A cell phone user text 'CPU' to the SMSEAGLE. The Smseagle has an mqtt publish rule for this. My application is subscribed to receive this text 'CPU' and publish the value of the CPU to a topic that the SMSEAGLE is subscribed to.
I need a subscribe rule that would only text the requester.

Thanks,

Hi Charlie,

This is a very specific use case, and it’s not something that can be achieved with the current rule set. We could consider this as a custom feature request, though, since your scenario goes beyond the standard MQTT publish/subscribe logic.
Thanks for describing your setup — it helps us understand the need.

Currently....I have multiple cell phone users who can text CPU to trigger the publish but all of them are registered to the subscribe topic...so all get the data that is returned. I only want the one person who texted for it to get it.
