SMS Alert Delay if server reboots for updates

Dominik Hug

Most of our monitored servers are beeing auto updated. that comes with an auto reboot, which triggers an alert all the time.
I'd like to see an option, where I can delay an alert for a specific amount of time, to avoid unnecessary alerts during the night.
For example, I know my servers usually don't need longer than 15min to reboot after an update. I would like the monitor to register the time when the server was first reported offline and then wait for my configured reboot time before it sends out an alert.

Hi Dominik. SMSEagle's Network Monitor function allows to disable a specific task between specified hours. Maybe this would be a solution for your scenario? You can disable the monitoring task when your server is updated/rebooted and this way you won't get false alarms

considered that, but then it is disabled every day and not only on the update-days. so no option for me.
