Access the api via 3g

It would be great if it was possible to use the 3g modems internet capabilities to initiate API calls from (firewalled of course).
This way if my internet is down and I still have some cloud services up that need to send sms, all these can still get sent/received via the API and the 3g connection, instead of going through my internet connection to the device.

You may enable data transmission on 3G/4G modems since software version 4,0. However, by default cellular operators doesn't provide external IP in such case. You would have to contact your cellular operator to receive external IP, so your device would be visible in the Internet
