SMS to Email

Dzenan Elkasovic

Currently, there is only an option to forward messages based on text or phone numbers. However, some senders use a string instead of a phone number, such as a company name or a generic identifier like "SMS Code"

It would be beneficial for SMS-to-Mail to allow filtering based on strings in addition to phone numbers, enabling the forwarding of messages from such senders.

Hi Elkas, the feature you described is already present in SMSEagle software. Create a new Contact in Phonebook. Use a string instead of phone number for that contact. Make the contact public. Then create a rule in SMS To Email feature, selecting the contact you created as input filter ("When incoming SMS comes from:"). The rule will be triggered as you need. In case of any problems with configuration, please contact our friendly support team.

Sorry, I also tried this but forgot to mention it:

The SMS we receive contains the string "SMS Code" in the From-field.
When I create a contact with a name and enter "SMS Code" in the phone number field, SMSEagle removes the space, saving it as "SMSCode". And the rule will not match anymore...
